The Family

I got the chance to try out a film stock that I'd never used before on a couple of my favorite people. Although I think I did a great job of hiding it, I was so filled with nerves! partly because film can be so tricky...but mainly because I wanted to make sure I beautifully captured the essence of family.

The construct of family means so much to me! I often find myself daydreaming about how my little family will look and how we'll interact with one another. I think about how WE'll START TRADITIONS AND BUILD ON VALUES THAT WERE gifted by our elders. I'm such a sap... but, to me, There is so much beauty in the fact that we are born into a specific family unit, and as we live, love and grow in life...we get to create our own. so, i'm honored that i was able to photograph the family bri and Emmanuel have created.
